The Entry Series Kiosk

Non-touch body surface temperature screening for business re-opening

Contactless Temperature Screening

In this COVID-19 pandemic era; businesses are creating new safety protocols, including temperature screening measures to routinely provide additional safeguards for employees, retail customers, and venue patrons entering all types of facilities.

The Entry Kiosk Series provides contactless, self-service technology to accurately and efficiently measure people for “at risk” temperatures at the point of admittance, thereby reducing virus transmission potential between the operator and the person being scanned. Further, automation reduces labor overhead associated with paid personnel managing this repetitive function.*

Dual-camera sensor array
measures both temperature
and subject depth

To ensure the system is measuring both temperature and depth, the Entry Series utilizes a multiple camera sensor array to increase data points and accuracy:

  1. One sensor camera provides high performance thermal imaging to capture an on-screen temperature scan.
  2. The second camera utilizes Intel® sensing technology to calculate the distance between the camera and the subject. This technology further enables the camera to detect that it is reading an actual face – as opposed to an object or a picture of a face.

The sensor array provides an appropriate field of view with temperature readout accuracy of ±0.5° C. The contactless scan reads and reports individual’s temperatures to an operator. Scanned records are completely anonymous, unless the subject knowingly opts in to an employee recognition database. The operator then has the appropriate information to either grant entry based on facility protocols and policies (no intervention) or enact secondary screening for exceptions of elevated temperature.*

* The Entry temperature measurement kiosk is a telethermographic system intended for adjunctive temperature data screening during the COVID-19 pandemic. It should not be solely or primarily relied upon to diagnose or exclude a diagnosis of COVID-19, or any other disease. Elevated body temperature in the context of use should be confirmed with secondary evaluation methods (e.g., an NCIT or clinical grade contact thermometer). Public health officials, through their experience with the device in the particular environment of use, should determine the significance of any fever or elevated temperature based on the skin telethermographic temperature measurement. The technology should be used to measure only one subject’s temperature at a time. This is not an FDA-cleared device.
